Dress up with Bombay
Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 11:12AM
Bombay paati(grandma) taught the girls to play dress up.
This game is always concluded with a photoshoot by daddy.
Here are a couple of good ones..
Gives us a preview of things to come, doesn't it?
A conversation between the little one and Grandma.
LO : You will give all the jewels to me ?
Bombay: Yes da Chellam. After me, I am going to give you all my jewels!
LO : Then dont wear them all the time. Or they will get dirty when you give them to me.
Bombay: !!!!!!!
San is going to have a very tough time when the two grow up. Thank god daddy does not wear jewels and the girls don't care much for electronic equipment.
ps. they have already divvied up grandma and mommy's jewelry.

Hi Sundar, the kutties look gr888. Ahem, eyeing mommy's and granny's jewelry already huh? speaks of things to come!! you better start saving right away!! :))
heheheh the little one is super devious ;p so cute
They look so cute in the sarees.
As for jewelry - ask grandma not to worry :). It's just a phase. I used to do the same I believe. Now I rarely wear any jewelry except my earrings.
The shape of things to come !! Hmm. They are already here !!
All the best !!
I have to agree- I'm an only child so I've always known whatever was Ammah's will be mine. But, I think I eyed my first necklace set when I was about 6, it is the first necklace my Dad bought Mom, so it is one of the few items she will not lend me for sentimental purposes, but it's the only thing I would ever be interested in I insisted and wore it to Prom.
However, like everyone else is saying... I think it's a phase. Because once you become a teenager or a young adult- Brown parents INSIST that you wear a certain amount of gold to functions at which point one just becomes bored or rebels for the sake of it. The only gold item I don't take off is a ring my dad bought(I'm afraid I'll lose it)
Otherwise, my mom pretty much has to yell at me. Who wants to be limited to gold when there's such a huge variety of other items you can acessorize with? :D
super photo...
That one by LO had me in splits:)
Great photographs. Read the post a while ago, but the photos didn' show up on blackberry. Should remember to check your posts at home properly in future. Lovely pictures, they do look like little dolls
