My first camera was a Yashika point and shoot which my father got me in my second year of college. I used it for 3 years.
My second camera was a Ricoh KR-10M SLR which was purchased while in grad school in the USA. It was stolen during a snow storm when I was at RPI. It was replaced by an old refurbished Pentax or a short time and when its silk shutter failed..
That is when I got introduced to the world of Canon SLR's and digital cameras. That was 1998. Have not looked at anything other than Canon..
EOS Elan II -> Powershot S30 -> EOS 400D -> 5D Mark II
Right now, shoot everything with the 5D Mark II ...
Also use a Manfrotto Tripod and have a spare ELPH 320 point and shoot as a backup!
